New House Colors and Tomorrow Plans

Here are the new colors we are looking at.  Hard to mimic the actual stone color on the lower 3-ft, but instead of limestone, we are now thinking about using a hickory color palette.  I think it will give it the house more character.  And we are thinking of using a Texas star front door! :o :)  Still waiting to hear back from the stone guy we met with earlier this week as to see if our colors will work.  I guess with stucco, they have to be certain the shades we select can be made into elastomeric paints.

This weekend, David wants to get the water line, electric line as well as a pump house built.  We are going to need to extend the water and electric service over to the new house in order for them to pour the new foundation.  It has been raining here the last 2 days and is supposed to continue through the weekend. :(  So, we are going to start building the pump house tomorrow.  It will be a 4'x8'x8' little house that will enclose the water pump from the well.  I will try to take a lot of photos!

Color choices made...

... I think.  This was done on the Sherwin Williams website.  Their Color Visualizer is amazing!

Windows Ordered!

The window order is placed!  A total of 19 and they are going to look great!  They should be ready for us to pick up by next Friday!  Plenty of time for the framer to actually have them on hand.

We may be going to look at a front door today!  Should we go with the Texas Star?

Colors galore!

So many choices!  We need to pick colors for roof, stucco, stone, trim, windows, gutters, and downspouts!  Woo hoo!

Appointments

Last week we met with Ringer Windows, to look at their custom windows and see what we wanted to get.  We are going to be placing our order soon as the shop is getting ready to make a move.  We decided on single hung, high efficiency windows.  A 3 light slider for the bedroom and a few picture windows in master bath and above our headboard.  We are doing full grids in the front with a patterned grid (called prairie) in the back.  It is going to be awesome!  We got some color samples and have a meeting with the roofing people this afternoon at 2pm.  We are going to choose our exterior colors - stucco, stone, roof, eave, trim, etc.  Should be fun!
